Member of United States Figure Skating

IceWorks Skating Club (IWSC) was formed to support figure skating and to promote a friendly community of figure skaters at IceWorks Skating Complex, a 4-surface ice skating facility in Aston, PA.

History

IWSC held its first meeting in March, 1998.  In January 1999, the club received interim probationary status as a member club of the United States Figure Skating (USFS).  At that time, the club enrolled the necessary minimum of 25 home-club members.  In May, 1999, the USFS General council voted IceWorks SC a regular probationary member.  IceWorks Skating Club received its full member status as a USFS club in May 2000. 

• Cooperative with, but financially and otherwise independent of IceWorks Skating Complex.

• A non-profit organization as determined by the IRS.

• Governed by a twelve-member Board of Directors, who hold membership in IWSC.

• Sponsors of the Annual Dance Classic and Adult Halloween Classic competitions.
